On Friday, October 20, in Mykolaiv, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting on issues of security and live safety, and also visited military personnel wounded during the hostilities.

The press service of the Office of the President of Ukraine informs about this.

During the meeting, the head of Mykolaiv RMA Vitalii Kim reported on the current situation in the region, and the mayor of Mykolaiv, Oleksandr Sienkevych, on the state of ensuring the city's safety, in particular, on the restoration of water and gas supply in de-occupied settlements and in Mykolaiv.

Andrii Hnatov, commander of the operational-strategic group of the «Odesa» troops, also gave a speech. He talked about the security situation in the Black Sea, in particular about the threats to shipping created by the Russian Federation, the cover of port infrastructure and the results of the «grain corridor».

Heads of law enforcement agencies of the region were present at the meeting.

The head of state also visited the military in the hospital and presented them with awards.

— Thank you for your heroic service for the sake of our country and its people. All the best to you. Get well You guys are great! Thank you to the military doctors who saved and save the lives of our soldiers, for their daily work, especially in this difficult time. Thank you to the doctors, nurses, ambulance drivers — everyone who works for victory! — Volodymyr Zelenskyy wrote.

We will remind you that during his last visit to Mykolaiv in September, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy criticized the inadequate condition of the Mykolaiv Regional Children's Hospital, which he visited.
