In Mykolaiv, 54 apartment buildings damaged by shelling will be restored

Mykolaiv plans to renovate 54 apartment buildings as part of the project «Housing Renovation for Empowerment (HOPE)».

This was reported by the press service of the Mykolaiv City Council.

It is noted that 21 clusters have been formed in Mykolaiv. Clustering allows not only to repair the houses themselves, but also to renovate the surrounding infrastructure: courtyards, playgrounds, landscaping elements, and implement energy efficiency measures.

According to Deputy Mayor Serhii Koreniev, the funding involves attracting international assistance through the Ministry of Development and Trade, with subventions distributed to the local authorities.

«We have been working hard for a long time, involving experts from various executive bodies, setting up a working group, checking the eligibility criteria, spatial analysis, and using this data to form clusters based on the similarity of damage and proximity of objects to each other,» said Serhii Koreniev.

Earlier it was reported that the reconstruction of the destroyed residential areas in the Lisky and Korabelnyi districts is expected to be completed by summer 2025.
