₴1.2 million will be spent on a cemetery for military personnel in Bashtanka, Mykolaiv Oblast

A new cemetery will be built in Bashtanka for the burial of dead Ukrainian soldiers.

The Bashtanka city council has published a tender on the public procurement website Prozorro for the improvement of the city cemetery at the address: Evropeyska street. It is planned to spend 1 million 269 thousand hryvnias on the work.

According to the tender documentation, the contractor must cut down 10 trees, uproot 100 stumps, and perform soil preparation. In addition, on the territory of the cemetery, the contractor is obliged to install a reinforced concrete fence 2 meters long, dig pits for the installation of posts and pillars with a depth of 0.4 meters, and arrange fences made of ready-made lattice panels with a height of more than 1.6 m to 2.0 m with installation.

Currently, the procedure for submitting tender offers is ongoing. The auction will be held on October 18.

It was previously reported that a memorial to defenders of Ukraine who died in the war is planned to be erected in the city of Bashtanka, Mykolaiv region.

In addition, architectural competitions for memorial projects in honor of the defenders of Ukraine were announced in Mykolaiv.

It is known that as part of the first competition, the participants must develop a memorial project on the territory of the Central City Cemetery on the Kherson highway in the Ingul district. The second one is on the territory of the cemetery bounded by Andrii Antonyuk, Gagarin and Bogoyavlenskyy avenues in the Korabelny district of the city.
