The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, signed Decree №382/2024, approving the decision of the National Security and Defense Council on the creation of Unmanned Systems Forces as part of the Armed Forces.

The corresponding decree is published on the website of the head of state.

The President, in accordance with Article 107 of the Constitution of Ukraine, decided to implement the decision of the National Security Council of June 25 «On the creation of the Unmanned Systems Forces as a separate type of force in the structure of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.»

Control over the implementation of the decision is entrusted to the secretary of the National Security Council. The decree enters into force from the day of its publication — June 25.

The decision of the National Security Council supported the proposal made by the Cabinet of Ministers regarding the creation of unmanned systems forces as a separate type of force in the structure of the Armed Forces.

«In order to increase the capabilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine regarding the use of unmanned and robotic air, sea and ground systems, to ensure their readiness for use, in accordance with the proposal of the Cabinet of Ministers, the National Security and Defense Council decided: to support the proposal made by the Cabinet of Ministers to create in the structure of the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces of Unmanned Systems as a separate kind of forces,» the document says.

The Government is instructed to submit relevant proposals for the establishment of the Unmanned Systems Forces for consideration by the Verkhovna Rada within a month in accordance with the established procedure.

We will remind you that on February 6, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a decree that provides for the creation of unmanned systems forces as a separate type of troops in the structure of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The Unmanned Systems Force was created on May 7. The Cabinet of Ministers supported the draft of the President's decree on the creation of this type of troops.
