Volodymyr Kudrytskyi, the chairman of the board of Ukrenergo, announced this.
He also added that according to the pessimistic scenario, the Russians will periodically cause new and new damage to the energy system.
Volodymyr Kudrytskyi also added that the country needs to build new power plants. They have to replace those power units that are very badly damaged and their restoration will take a very long time.
«The question will be how much our air defense system will be able to reduce the speed of these damages, the speed with which the enemy destroys the Ukrainian energy industry. It will also be important whether the Ukrainian energy system will have the appropriate resource to quickly recover. These two factors will certainly be key,» said Volodymyr Kudrytskyi.
We will remind that on the night of April 10, the Russian army launched Shahed 131/136 attack drones in the Mykolaiv region. 12 of them were shot down, however, there is also a hit to an energy infrastructure object in the Mykolaiv district.
After that, the lights went out in many towns and villages in Mykolaiv and Kherson regions.
