During the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, the United States and Ukraine plan to sign an agreement on the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine worth approximately $800 billion.

This was reported by The Telegraph, citing Western officials.

It is noted that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and US President Donald Trump plan to meet at a Swiss mountain resort, where they will finalise the details of the agreement.

Initially, Volodymyr Zelensky planned to visit the White House next week. However, European partners from the «Coalition of the Willing» advised him to move the meeting to the Davos forum, calling it a more convenient venue for negotiations with Trump.

Ukrainian officials say the agreement provides for $800 billion to be invested in Ukraine's reconstruction over the next 10 years.

According to The Telegraph, this could pave the way for loans, grants and private investment. It is expected that US participation in the reconstruction, particularly in projects close to Donald Trump's heart, will increase the US president's willingness to provide reliable security guarantees.

According to the publication, the agreement is based on a preliminary mineral resources agreement signed last year, which provided American investors with preferential access to future mining projects in Ukraine.

Recall that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy presented a draft 20-point framework document on ending the Russian-Ukrainian war, which provides for the participation of Ukraine, the US, Europe and Russia.

Earlier, the head of the Servant of the People party faction, David Arakhamia, said that there is currently no possibility of concluding a «good» peace agreement with Russia — the options are either a bad or very bad option, or no agreement and a continuation of the war.
