During the talks between the US and Ukrainian delegations held in Berlin on Sunday, the parties were able to make significant progress in discussing key issues.
This was reported by US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff.
The meeting with the participation of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Steve Witkoff, Jared Kushner and representatives of the US and Ukrainian delegations lasted more than five hours. The meeting focused on the provisions of the 20-point peace plan, economic initiatives and a number of other topics important for further steps to resolve the war.
According to Witkoff, the discussion was thorough and productive, and the parties agreed to continue negotiations the next morning.
Earlier, President Zelenskyy announced the start of a meeting in Berlin with representatives of the United States and Germany to discuss peace in Ukraine. The photos he published confirm the participation of the Ukrainian delegation, special envoy of the US President Steve Witkoff, Jared Kushner and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz in the talks.
Later, Ukrainian presidential adviser Dmytro Lytvyn said that the talks on 14 December lasted more than five hours and were scheduled to continue on Monday morning.
As a reminder, US President Donald Trump said that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is allegedly the only one who does not approve of Washington's plan to end the war, while his team, according to Trump, supports the document.
