Ukrainian delegation starts meeting in the US: peace and security are the main topics

On 30 November, negotiations between Ukrainian and American delegations began in the United States.

Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council Rustem Umerov said that he was in constant contact with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and was working in accordance with the directives he had received.

«I am in constant contact with the President of Ukraine. We have clear directives and priorities : protecting Ukraine's interests, substantive dialogue, and moving forward on the basis of the developments achieved in Geneva. We are working for real peace for Ukraine and guaranteed security», Rustem Umerov said.

Earlier it was reported that the delegation included:

• Rustem Umerov — Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine, head of the delegation.

• Oleksandr Bevz — Advisor to the Office of the President of Ukraine.

• Kyrylo Budanov, Chief of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine.

• Andrii Hnatov — Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

• Oleh Ivashchenko — Head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine.

• Serhii Kyslytsia — First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.

• Yevhen Ostrianskyi — First Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine.

• Oleksandr Poklad — Deputy Head of the Security Service of Ukraine.

• Vadym Skibitskyi — Deputy Head of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine.

As a reminder, NSDC Secretary Rustem Umerov and First Deputy Foreign Minister Serhii Kyslytsia have travelled to Florida to continue consultations on a possible peace plan.
