Zelensky holds military HQ meeting on Odesa and Mykolaiv recovery

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy discussed the restoration of electricity and heat after Russian strikes at a regular meeting. Particular attention was paid to the frontline cities of Odesa and Mykolaiv.

In particular, they discussed the situation in Odesa and the region, where, according to Zelenskyy, the local authorities have made many mistakes.

«We also worked on the issue of recovery in Odesa and the region, where many mistakes were made by local leaders. There were also reports on Kyiv and the region, on the Dnipro region. Our constant focus is on Kharkiv and the region, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv and Kherson, Poltava and the region. For every other region of our country, we have clear data on the equipment needed, the work required, and the funding required. Appropriate instructions have been made in each direction,» Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

Zelenskyy noted that the most difficult situation is now in the frontline communities and near the border with Russia, where the shelling does not stop.

«But despite all the threats, we are working to restore power supply and provide emergency opportunities to support people in such communities,» the President stressed.

The meeting also discussed military issues: they determined how to expand the capabilities of army aviation to protect against drones.

Earlier, Odesa Mayor Hennadii Trukhanov said that the President's Office was preparing an initiative to revoke his Ukrainian citizenship and called these intentions part of «another provocation».
