Mykolaiv Mayor Sienkevych goes out on the balcony and records an address to blogger Lachen

The mayor of Mykolaiv, Oleksandr Sienkevych, commented on the publication of millionaire blogger Ihor Lachenkov, in which he accused the Mykolaiv City Council of «fraud».

He published a video message on his official telegram channel, according to NikVesti.

As you know, today millionaire blogger Ihor Lachenkov published a post in which he wrote about how the Mykolaiv City Council «is trying to pass a decision that the mayor needs». This is how he commented on the situation with the statements of some deputies that they did not vote for the updated structure of the executive bodies of the city council at the session on 28 August.

A few hours later, the mayor of Mykolaiv responded to this post. Oleksandr Sienkevych recorded an address to the blogger from the balcony of the city hall. He stated that the blogger had been misled and offered to meet him in person to ask him questions directly.

«It is interesting to read about the machinations of the Mykolaiv City Council from blogger Ihor Lachenkov, who has a millionaire income. Although he has never written anything about Mykolaiv before, except for attacks. I would like to invite you to Mykolaiv. I will be happy to tell you about everything about Mykolaiv and how our Mykolaiv City Council works. We are striving to become the most transparent in Ukraine. We will get acquainted and I will tell you in detail about our work. I do not believe that you were paid and posted this. I think you were simply misled and believed the rumours without checking anything,» said Sienkevych.

He also clarified that all voting takes place on the official Zoom platform, where no failures have been recorded so far.

«I don't know what kind of failure you mean. Indeed, 5 hours after the session, one of the deputies asked to withdraw her vote. But it doesn't work that way, because then everyone can withdraw their vote in a week, a year or two,» the mayor added.

The mayor also emphasised the openness of all decisions and the absence of pressure on the deputies: «All decisions are made openly, with protocols and votes recorded. If there are any technical issues, we always check them, there is a council apparatus for this. There has been and will be no pressure on the deputies in Mykolaiv City Council. So, I advise you to at least clarify the facts before throwing accusations. I am open to talks and you could have written to me and asked me about it. You have a credit of trust from Ukrainians. You're not some kind of Insider-type dump, are you?».

As you know, on 28 August, members of the Mykolaiv City Council approved an updated structure of the executive bodies of the city hall. However, afterwards it became known that deputy Tetiana Dombrovska stated that she did not support the draft decision «On streamlining the structure of the Mykolaiv City Council and its executive bodies» (s-dz-001). At the same time, her vote is listed in the minutes of the session as «for».

She immediately drew attention to the discrepancy and asked the mayor to correct the minutes. But in response to her appeal, the City Council Secretary Dmytro Falko replied that the results of remote voting are recorded and stored in Zoom, and the process is encrypted and excludes interference, so it is impossible to distort the votes. In response to this position of the city council, Tetiana Dombrovska wrote that if her demands are ignored, she is ready to apply to law enforcement agencies.
