Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Riabkov said that as a result of the Ukrainian operation «Pavutyna», Russian aircraft were allegedly not destroyed, but only damaged.

He said this in a comment to the Russian news agency «TASS».

«There is nothing like this», said Sergei Riabkov.

Also commenting on the information about the destruction of the equipment, he called on «to rely on official data from the Russian Ministry of Defence».

At the same time, hromadske's sources in the SSU have previously reported that the Russians are trying to conceal their losses, including bringing undamaged aircraft to airfields so that satellite images do not show the effects of the strikes.

Special operation «Pavutyna»

As a reminder, the special operation «Pavutyna», as a result of which the Security Service of Ukraine downed 41 Russian strategic aircraft, had been prepared for over a year and a half.

Later, journalist Yurii Butusov disclosed the details of the SSU operation, noting that the agents had entered the territory of the Russian Federation.

The SSU estimates the value of the destroyed Russian strategic aircraft at Russian airfields at seven billion dollars.

After the large-scale SSU attack on Russian airfields, the first satellite images of the long-range aviation base «Belaia» in Irkutsk region were published online. The images show significant damage and destruction of Russian warplanes.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that successful Ukrainian operations, such as the recent «Pavutyna», should make Russia think about the diplomatic route.

In addition, journalists of the «Schemes» project received satellite images confirming the downing of seven strategic aircraft at the «Belaia» airfield.
