On the evening of 3 June, the current President of Poland, Andrzej Duda, met with the newly elected President Karol Nawrocki. One of the topics discussed was Ukraine's accession to NATO.

According to the head of Duda's office, Malgorzata Paprocka, they also discussed the formation of the future presidential office, reports «Evropeiska Pravda», citing RMF FM.

She stressed that Duda's position is unchanged — Ukraine should move towards NATO and the European Union. As for Nawrocki's position, she said she could not predict it at this time.

The meeting lasted over an hour. After the meeting, Karol Nawrocki thanked Andrzej Duda in a post on the X platform and posted a photo of them together.

It should be noted that during the election campaign, Karol Nawrocki spoke out against Ukraine's accession to NATO. In particular, he officially supported the demands of Slawomir Mencen from the anti-Ukrainian party «Confederation» in exchange for support in the second round.
