Kremlin spokesman Dmitrii Peskov said that Ukraine has not yet responded to Russia's proposal to hold a second round of talks in Istanbul on 2 June.
This was reported by «RIA Novosti» with reference to a briefing by Vladimir Putin's press secretary.
According to Dmitrii Peskov, Moscow does not plan to discuss the content of the negotiating documents in public, insisting on the confidentiality of the talks.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov earlier said that Russia had developed a special memorandum in which it allegedly outlined its position on «overcoming the root causes of the conflict». The Russian delegation at the possible talks will be headed by Vladimir Medinskyi.
The Kremlin also does not rule out a personal meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, but stresses that it is possible only after specific agreements are reached at the level of delegations.
