Zelenskyy and Erdogan discuss security guarantees in the Black Sea

During his official visit to Ankara, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held talks with President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. One of the key topics of the meeting was security guarantees in the Black Sea.
According to the Office of the President of Ukraine, the parties discussed in detail further steps to ensure civilian navigation and maritime demining. In this context, special attention was paid to joint initiatives of Ukraine, Turkey, Bulgaria and Romania.
Zelenskyy thanked Turkey for its readiness to monitor the ceasefire, particularly at sea.
The presidents also discussed the reconstruction of Ukraine and the possible participation of Turkish companies in this process. In preparation for the International Conference on the Reconstruction of Ukraine to be held on 10-11 July in Rome, Turkey's participation was confirmed.
In addition, Zelenskyy and Erdogan discussed further expansion of bilateral cooperation, particularly in the defence sector.
As a reminder, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said he was sending a Ukrainian delegation to Istanbul to take part in talks with the Russian side on a possible ceasefire.
