Tammy Bruce, photo: censor.netThe US State Department has expressed concern over the participation of Chinese citizens in the war on the side of Russia.
This was was reported by Tammy Bruce, a spokesperson for the US Department of State, said this during a briefing on 8 April.
According to her, both the capture of Chinese citizens and North Korea's cooperation are of serious concern to Washington.
«We are aware of reports that Ukraine has captured two Chinese citizens who fought on the side of Russia in Ukraine. China is a major sponsor of Russia in the war in Ukraine. China supplies about 80 per cent of the dual-use goods that Russia needs to wage war. 80% comes from China,» Tammy Bruce said.
The State Department also reiterated the position of US President Donald Trump: strengthening ties between Beijing and Moscow poses a threat to global security and weakens the defence of the United States and its allies.
As a reminder, on 8 April, the Ukrainian military captured two Chinese citizens who had fought in the Russian army.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned the Chinese Charge d'Affaires in Ukraine and will demand explanations for the Chinese military's participation in the war on the side of Russia.
