Donald Trump said that Europe has spent more money on the purchase of Russian energy resources than on supporting Ukraine. He called the situation in Ukraine «a terrible conflict», stressing that «millions of Ukrainians and Russians have been killed and wounded, and there is no end in sight».
«If you want to end the war, you need to talk to both sides», the American leader stressed.
According to him, the US has received serious signals from Russia «that it is ready for peace».
As a reminder, during a speech to Congress, US President Donald Trump said he had received a letter from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. According to Donald Trump, the letter states that Ukraine «is ready to sit down at the negotiating table as soon as possible to bring about a sustainable peace», as well as to sign an agreement on minerals.
