Zelenskyy: More than 100 brigades are now on the battlefield, each needs additional equipment

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that more than 100 brigades are currently on the battlefield, and each of them needs to be equipped with equipment before increasing the number of soldiers.

He said this before a meeting with German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius, according to «Interfax-Ukraine».

«We have heard many times signals about the age of our military, the age of mobilisation, etc... You know, I will not give a very clear number because it is dangerous, but we have more than a hundred brigades on the battlefield, and each of these brigades needs manning and equipment every day,» Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

The President added that more brigades «constantly have something out of repair», and therefore there is always some shortage of equipment.

«That is why, when we talk about increasing the number of our people, we must understand that, firstly, there is no appropriate staffing of the brigades today. We need to equip our teams with the appropriate equipment. Our partners have all these requests at», he stressed.

Earlier, Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that over the past week, Russians had dropped almost 700 bombs and launched more than 600 attack drones in Ukraine.
