Ukraine to celebrate Army Aviation Day: President signs decree

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy signs documents. Archive photo: Presidential OfficePresident of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has signed a decree on the Day of Army Aviation of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The new holiday will be celebrated annually on 3 July.
This is evidenced by the decree published on the official website of the head of state.
As stated in the document, this day was established to honour the courage and heroism of the soldiers of the Army Aviation of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, displayed in the struggle for freedom, independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine, as well as to establish modern military traditions.
The decree came into force on the day of its publication.
Earlier it was reported that Ukraine will celebrate a new public holiday — the Day of Interethnic Harmony and Cultural Diversity. It will be celebrated annually on 21 May.
