On Wednesday, January 31, the Mykolaiv craftswoman Iryna Darienko presented her work at the Mykolaiv Regional Universal Scientific Library.

The host of the event, Olena Hryhoruk, told the visitors the story of the artist's life and work, writes NikVesti.

More than 50 works on various topics are presented at the exposition. Among them are a series of works dedicated to space, a winter cycle of paintings, portrait painting, landscapes, flowers, still lifes, botanical reliefs, painted dishes, as well as fantasy paintings in the style of steampunk.

Iryna Darienko emphasizes that in her works she uses different materials: acrylic, gouache, watercolor, pencils. However, she still prefers to create paintings from acrylic paints, which emphasize her author's style.

As the Mykolaiv artist notes, she was inspired to create paintings by her own family.

«My son pushed me to create paintings. He is a very talented mechanic and engineer. He is attracted to science fiction. So, I made the painting «Fish» for him in the same style and this process took me a long time,» comments Iryna Darienko.

The highlights of the event were the performances of the participants of the Nina Zapadynska People's Opera and Vocal Studio and the honored figure of pop art Ivan Nosyk.

The initiator and organizer was the Mykolaiv Regional Center of Folk Art and Cultural and Educational Work.

The personal exhibition «Strings of Creativity» by artist Iryna Darienko will last until February 15.
