The Voznesensk community has installed seven public address system points at a cost of over ₴835,000

Following the start of the full-scale invasion, seven fixed public warning points were installed in the Voznesensk community. A total of 835,400 hryvnias was allocated from the municipal budget for the purchase and installation of the system.

According to the Voznesensk City Council, all seven fixed public warning points were installed after 24 February 2022. In January 2023, the local authority purchased and commissioned an alert system comprising seven points located in seven local authority buildings.

Since then, as of 1 May 2026, no further equipment has been purchased. The city council explained that the existing network currently meets the community’s basic needs.

At the same time, funds continue to be allocated for the maintenance and repair of the system. Between 2024 and 2025, 79,900 hryvnias were allocated for this purpose. These funds were used to replace the uninterruptible power supply and ten horn-type loudspeakers that had broken down.

The community’s budget for 2026 also allocates a further 45,000 hryvnias for the maintenance of the public address system.

At the same time, the community acknowledges that not all settlements are covered by the fixed public address system. In particular, the village of Rakove currently lacks such a system. Its installation has already been included in the network development plans, but for the time being, the village’s residents are being informed of air raid alerts via official digital channels.

It should be noted that the Pervomaiska community plans to establish a fully-fledged local automated centralised warning system (LACWS). The project is estimated to cost over 10.2 million hryvnias, and implementation is planned to take place over three years.

In the Mykolaiv region, certified local automated centralised warning systems are operational in only two communities — Mykolaiv and Pivdennoukrainsk. At the same time, a further 54 communities in the region are required to set up such systems in accordance with the law.

It was previously reported that in the Mykolaiv region, the number of air-raid sirens has increased by more than a third since the start of the full-scale war. During this period, 118 additional sirens have been installed in 90 settlements.
