The authorised capital of the Municipal Catering Enterprise in Mykolaiv is to be increased. Photo: NikVestiMykolaiv councillors have increased the authorised capital of the Municipal Catering Enterprise in educational institutions to 15 million hryvnias.
The decision was taken during a session of the Mykolaiv City Council on 28 May, according to NikVesti.
According to the text of the draft decision, the authorised capital of the municipal enterprise will increase by 14,457,796 hryvnias. Its total amount will now be officially approved at 15,039,229 hryvnias.
At the same time, the explanatory note states that the implementation of this decision will not require additional funding from the city budget. The specified amount is, in fact, a legal confirmation of the financial contributions that the executive committee of the Mykolaiv City Council has already transferred to the enterprise in full during the period 2020–2024.
During the session, councillor Serhii Kantor asked whether the company had received the funds and in what form they were held. To this, the deputy head of the municipal property management department replied that of the 14.4 million hryvnias, 6.3 million had been spent on purchasing equipment for the municipal utility company, and a further 8 million were held in current accounts. These will be allocated to future operations.
For his part, Mykolaiv Mayor Oleksandr Sienkevych explained that this was merely a technical matter to bring the articles of association into order.
«Increasing the authorised capital of enterprises is a matter we are currently sorting out. Funds are allocated during the budget review. This is a technical decision,» he said.
In the end, the decision was supported by 28 councillors.
As a reminder, the Mykolaiv City Council will appeal to the Cabinet of Ministers and the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine regarding the allocation of additional funds from the state budget. The appeal is linked to the fact that there is a shortfall of 149.5 million hryvnias for meals for children in nurseries, schools and technical colleges.
