Russia planned to cause a complete blackout in Ukraine during the last large-scale air attack

With the help of a massive attack using missiles and kamikaze drones on the morning of March 22, the Russians planned to cause a complete blackout in Ukraine.

This was said by the Minister of Energy of Ukraine Herman Halushchenko on the air of the national telethon.

The official called the attack «the largest in the entire history of attacks on energy.»

«The enemy used more than 150 different weapons at the same time. This is a significant test for the power system. The aim of this attack was to achieve a large-scale blackout in the state,» said the head of the Ministry of Energy.

Herman Halushchenko added that this air attack affected consumers in 12 regions of Ukraine. Kharkiv, Odesa and Khmelnytskyi regions were the most affected. Also, the situation is difficult now at the Dnipro HPP, where the elimination of the consequences of missile strikes is ongoing.

The head of the Ministry of Energy noted that restoration works are ongoing.

Earlier it was reported that if Russia set a goal to destroy the Dnipro Hydroelectric Power Station, then missile attacks on the dam may continue.
