Nine children from the families of fallen heroes and those who are currently defending our country will go on an almost two-week vacation to France.

Anton Tabunshchik, the head of the Mykolaiv Regional Council, announced this.

During this time, the children will be able to rest a little from the horrors of the war, get healthy, and get to know a new country and culture.

«Children from the families of our fallen heroes and those who are currently defending our country. Therefore, this event is especially symbolic today, when on the Day of Remembrance and Reconciliation we honor the memory of those who gave their lives for our freedom, and we have no right to forget about our little heroes — children whose childhood was taken away by war. Their happiness and well-being is our joint responsibility,» wrote Anton Tabunshchik.

He also noted that the trip was organized thanks to the cooperation of the Mykolaiv Regional Council, the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration and Cultural Diplomacy Foundation within the framework of the Children of War program.

As a reminder, within the framework of the social protection program «Turbota» during 2023, a special commission approved payments to 167 children, and since the beginning of this program — to 273 applicants.
