Сollected money for the Armed Forces, but spent it on online casinos: a resident of Kryvyi Rih is suspected of fraud

The Kyiv Prosecutor's Office reported the suspicion of a 26-year-old resident of Kryvyi Rih, who allegedly collected money for cars for the Armed Forces and treatment of the seriously wounded, and spent it on online casino games.

The swindler defrauded Ukrainians of about 1.2 million hryvnias, the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office reported.

According to the investigation, the woman created accounts with fictitious data on Facebook and Telegram. From these accounts, she made publications in various groups, announcing a seemingly urgent collection for the military. All the ads had her personal bank card number and mobile phone. However, the woman did not transfer the money to the servicemen, but spent it on her own needs, namely on online casino games.
