Today, May 23, hourly power outage schedules will be in effect in all regions throughout the day.

This is reported by NEC «Ukrenergo».

«Hourly shutdown schedules will be in effect for industrial and household consumers throughout the territory of Ukraine from 00:00 to 24:00. The power supply of critical infrastructure facilities, which perform the function of providing life support to the population, will not be limited,» the message states.

The reason for the outages was significant damage to the Ukrainian energy infrastructure after 5 massive Russian attacks.

Restoration work and scheduled repairs are currently underway. At the same time, dense cloudiness in most regions prevents solar power plants from working at their maximum capacity during daytime hours.

We would like to remind you that as of the morning of May 23, there are hourly shutdown schedules in the Mykolaiv region. The list of addresses by queue can be viewed at the link.

It was previously reported that power outages for the population, which began on May 14, 2024, will last until August-September. In winter, a deficit in the energy system is predicted even at high temperatures.

The other day, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said that the Ministry of Energy and Ukrenergo should develop a resolution that would regulate «fair schedules of turning off the lights for consumers.»
