Due to deteriorating weather conditions, 114 settlements in Mykolaiv region remain without electricity. At least 90% of them are expected to have power restored today.

This was announced by the head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, Vitalii Kim, during the «Yedyni Novyny» telethon.

According to him, despite the absence of shelling, the region has recently experienced difficult weather conditions: the air temperature has dropped to -5°C, there has been freezing rain, and flooding has begun. The bad weather is causing massive emergency power outages in the region.

«114 settlements have been cut off from electricity. They should all be reconnected today. Well, 90% will definitely be reconnected by the end of the day,» he said.

In addition, due to flooding, the village of Shevchenkove, with a population of 215, was cut off from the road. Rescuers are currently delivering food and medicine there by air cushion. According to Vitaliy Kim, transport links are expected to be restored there on Monday.

Earlier, Mykolaivoblenergo reported that about 200 settlements were left without electricity due to bad weather.
