Over 7,500 calls to the call centre in a year: what did Mykolaiv residents complain about most often?

In 2025, Mykolaiv residents contacted the city's «Call Centre 1588» more than 7,500 times.
This was reported by the Department of Housing and Communal Services of the Mykolaiv City Council in response to an information request from NikVesti.
The most frequent complaints were in the following areas:
- Green spaces — 1,756 calls (23.1%), of which 648 (8.5%) were about tree removal, 608 (8%) were about pruning and cutting branches, and 374 (4.9%) were about clearing fallen trees;
- Water supply and sewerage — 1,446 (19%);
- Water leaks — 587 (7.7%);
- Improvements — 1,123 (14.8%);
- Garbage — 657 (8.7%).
«In 2025, the Call Centre 1588, which handles citizens' appeals, registered 7,591 appeals, of which 569 were received through the Facebook community Contact Centre at the Mykolaiv City Council,» the information request states.
In addition, residents raised issues related to heating — 521 (of which 371 concerned the lack of heat, 4.9%), the operation of the housing stock — 494 (in particular, the repair of lifts — 182, 2.4%), the condition of roads and driveways — 449 (5.9%), wells and underground utilities — 320 (4.2%), transport — 263 (3.5%), other issues — 214 (2.8%), electricity supply — 138 (1.8%), ecology, sanitary standards and emergencies — 90 (1.2%), other housing and communal services issues — 24 (0.3%), social protection — 24 (0.3%), administrative services — 19 (0.3%), healthcare — 15 (0.2%), Sienkevych Online — 14 (0.2%), accessibility — 11 (0.1%), education — 7 (0.1%) and gas supply — 6 (0.1%).
Over the past year, the call centre received 19,782 phone calls. Of these, 7,591 were registered, and in 12,191 cases, operators provided advice.
In total, in 2025, Call Centre 1588 processed 6,540 requests.
As a reminder, the administration of the Zavodskyi district of the Mykolaiv City Council announced a tender for services to eliminate unauthorised waste dumps in the district. According to data from the ProZorro public procurement system, the expected cost of the work is up to 3 million 10 thousand 982 hryvnias.
According to the technical documentation, the contractor must eliminate unauthorised landfills in the Zavodskyi district of Mykolaiv by 31 December 2026. The total volume of work is over 22,000 cubic metres of waste.
