The Mykolaiv Sports Administration was searched in connection with a case of fictitious reservation

On Tuesday, 20 January, searches were conducted at the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of the Mykolaiv City Council.

The information was confirmed to NikVesti by the press service of the Mykolaiv Regional Prosecutor's Office.

Another source of NikVesti in law enforcement agencies reported that searches were conducted in the office of Iryna Bondarenko and two sports schools. According to our information, these are the Peremoha sports school, headed by Oleksandr Munch, and the Specialised Children's and Youth Sports School of the Olympic Reserve No. 6, where the former head of the sports department, Oleh Mashkin, works as deputy director and boxing coach.

The investigative actions took place within the framework of criminal proceedings opened under the preliminary classification under Part 3 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Acceptance of a proposal, promise or receipt of unlawful benefits by an official). According to the prosecutor's office, this concerns the possible fictitious employment of men for the purpose of evading mobilisation on the basis of reservation certificates.

The searches were conducted by investigators from Police Department №1 of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Mykolaiv region, with operational support provided by the Strategic Investigations Department.

It should be noted that in 2021, Iryna Bondarenko replaced Oleh Mashkin as head of the department.

In 2020, Bondarenko ran for city council from the Propozytsiia party. However, she did not make it to the city council.
