Russians strike at Ukraine's first large biomass power plant

On the night of 9 November, Russian drones attacked the Clear Energy thermal power plant, which runs on wood waste.

According to the company's co-founder Andrii Hrinenko, three drones hit the plant.

No one was injured in the attack.

The TPP, which opened in 2016, became the first large biomass power plant in Ukraine and demonstrated that energy independence is possible thanks to local resources.

Earlier, the State Emergency Service reported that an enterprise in the Koriukivka district of Chernihiv region came under Russian attack at night. A fire broke out there.

According to «Suspilne Chernihiv», citing its own sources, this is the Koruikivka TPP, which runs on biomass.
