«These are ordinary acts of terrorism»: Kim on recent Russian strikes on Mykolaiv infrastructure

The number of shelling attacks on Mykolaiv and the region has recently increased significantly. The Russian army is primarily targeting critical infrastructure in the region.

This was reported by Vitalii Kim, head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, live on «Suspilne».

According to him, all these strikes are a continuation of the so-called energy war that Russia is waging against Ukraine.

«This is part of the energy war that is now in its active phase between Russia and Ukraine over critical infrastructure. After all, the main goal of is critical infrastructure: heating, electricity, gas,» said Vitalii Kim.

The head of the RMA also commented on the morning attack on the city's hardware supermarket.

«It's a common idea for Russians to look for equipment in hardware supermarkets. Therefore, I believe that these are acts of terrorism to remind people that they are here and to keep them on their toes,» he said.

As a reminder, on 3 November, at around 02:58, Mykolaiv was attacked by attack drones from «Shahed». Last night, the air defence forces shot down a total of 18 drones «Shahed 131/136» and various types of imitation drones. Due to Russian strikes, 12 villages in the Mykolaiv region were left without electricity.
