The aftermath of the shelling of Zaporizhzhia. Photo: Zaporizhzhia RMAOn the night of 30 October, Russian troops attacked Zaporizhzhia and the region with missiles and drones. A dormitory was destroyed in the city, there may be people under the rubble, and a search and rescue operation is underway.
This was reported by the head of the Zaporizhzhya regional military administration Ivan Fedorov.
According to preliminary data, at least 20 drone strikes and eight missiles were fired at the city. Five high-rise buildings, several private houses and infrastructure facilities were damaged. The number of wounded increased to 15 people, including six children aged 3 to 6 years.
Several settlements in the region also suffered from the night attacks. Bilenke, Kamianske, Orikhove, Malynivka and Rivnopillia were hit by air strikes.
Other communities were subjected to more than 480 drone attacks and 245 artillery shellings. Russian troops also fired multiple rocket launchers at Stepnohirsk, Uspenivka, Bilohiria and other villages in the region.
