Russia strikes DTEK's power facility in Odesa region: damage is extensive

On 9 October, Russian troops attacked DTEK's energy facility in Odesa region.

According to the company, the facility sustained significant damage as a result of the attack.

DTEK noted that the repairs will take a long time.

«The damage is significant. Therepairs will take a long time», the company said.

As a reminder, according to the head of the Odesa regional military administration, Oleh Kiper, more than 30,000 subscribers were left without electricity.

The prosecutor's office clarified that energy facilities and facilities at the port in Chornomorsk were damaged. Four settlements remain without power.

It should also be noted that as a result of the night attack, private houses, a petrol station and a port caught fire, where containers with vegetable oil, wood pellets and vehicles were burning. Private houses were damaged. Five people were reported injured.

Yesterday, on 8 October, Russian troops also attacked a DTEK thermal power plant, injuring two employees. The company noted that since the start of the full-scale invasion, the company's thermal power plants have been shelled more than 200 times.
