Russians attack railway substation in Odesa region

A fire caused by Russian shelling in Odesa region. Illustrative photo: Odesa Oblast State Emergency ServiceOn the night of 26 September, Russian troops attacked a traction power substation of the railway infrastructure in the village of Chubivka, Podilskyi district, Odesa region.
According to law enforcement sources, the attack de-energised the contact network of «Ukrzaliznytsia», writes «Suspilne Odesa».
It is noted that two substation workers were in a shelter during the air raid and were not injured. A fire broke out at the site and was extinguished by rescuers.
The Odesa Regional Military Administration clarified that transformers of a transport infrastructure facility were damaged.
«For about two hours, air defence units repelled an enemy attack aimed at civilian infrastructure in the region... Fortunately, no people were injured», the statement said.
The prosecutor's office has launched a pre-trial investigation under part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine «Committing war crimes».
The air alert in Odesa region was announced on 25 September at 22:50. The Air Force first reported an attack drone moving west, and then a group of UAVs heading north. The alert went off at 00:29.
As a reminder, on 25 September, Russian troops attacked the Ochakiv and Kutsurub communities in Mykolaiv region with FPV drones eight times.
