Zelenskyy: Parubii's murder was carefully prepared

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that the murder of former Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Andrii Parubii was carefully planned.

He said this in a video message.

The Head of State said that Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko and Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko are investigating the circumstances of Andrii Parubii's murder.

«A lot of forces are involved, all the necessary ones. Unfortunately, the crime was carefully prepared, but everything is being done to solve this crime», Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

He added that the Security Service of Ukraine was also involved in the investigation. The President instructed «to immediately provide our society with verified information».

As a reminder, on 30 August, Andrii Parubii, the former Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, was killed in Lviv.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Ihor Klymenko and Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko had already reported on the first known circumstances of the murder. All necessary forces and means are involved in the investigation and search for the killer.

The Office of the Prosecutor General reported that a special operation «Siren» was launched in Lviv to find the attacker. They confirmed that the shooter had shot Parubii several times, killing him on the spot.

Former Prime Minister of Ukraine Arsenii Yatseniuk said that Andriy Parubii was killed by Russian special services.
