Fire extinguished for second day in Mukachevo after Russian strike

As of the morning of 22 August, firefighting continues in Mukachevo, Zakarpattia region, following a Russian attack on the night of 21 August.

This was reported by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

Fifty-four firefighters and 15 pieces of equipment are involved in the firefighting. Two fire trains of «Ukrzaliznytsia» are also working at the scene.

Emergency officials also clarified that the number of people injured in the city has increased to 21. The day before, it was known that the youngest of them was 22 years old, the oldest was 63.

As a reminder, in Mukachevo, the Russians hit the territory of one of the local enterprises. Local authorities urged residents to close their windows tightly and not to go outside unless necessary due to the large fire.
