Russians have exported about 2.5 million tonnes of new crop wheat from the temporarily occupied Ukrainian territories.

This was reported by the National Resistance Centre.

«The occupiers continue to plunder Ukrainian lands. About 2.5 million tonnes of newly harvested wheat have already been exported to Russia from the temporarily occupied areas of Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions», the statement said.

The Centre emphasised that even Russian propaganda acknowledges the fact of the export of this grain. Such actions constitute a war crime and a gross violation of international humanitarian law, as Russia is turning the food of the occupied regions into a military trophy and a means of pressure.

«In fact, we are talking about large-scale looting, control over agricultural enterprises and blocking farmers' access to their own products», added in the message.

As a reminder, more than 55,000 hectares of crops have been destroyed or seriously damaged in the de-occupied areas of Kherson region. The total amount of damage exceeds one billion hryvnias. The reasons are prolonged drought, spring frosts, moisture deficit and lack of irrigation after the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station was blown up.
