Agricultural enterprise in Odesa region returns over 4.7 million hryvnias of unpaid taxes

A field in the Mykolaiv region. Archival photo: NikVestiA company from the Bolhradskyi district of Odesa region has reimbursed the state for millions of dollars in losses caused by concealing the volume of wheat sold. The case file has already been submitted to the court.
This was reported by the Territorial Directorate of the Bureau of Economic Security of Ukraine in Odesa region.
According to the investigation, discrepancies were found between the declared and actual volumes of agricultural products sold. It is more than 5,600 tonnes of wheat with an estimated value of 26 million hryvnias.
The BES notes that the state budget suffered losses of almost 4.7 million hryvnias, and the company has compensated the amount.
The company's director was notified of suspicion, and the case file was sent to court with an indictment. He faces a fine with or without deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for up to three years.
As a reminder, Odesa region has become one of the leaders among Ukrainian regions in terms of land payment revenues. In the first five months of this year, community budgets received over 1.6 billion hryvnias.
