Night attack on Kyiv: two people killed, 16 injured

On the night of 10 July, the Russian army attacked Ukraine with unmanned aerial vehicles and drones. Two people were killed and 16 others were injured in Kyiv as a result of the attack.

This was reported by Mayor Vitalii Klychko and the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration Timur Tkachenko.

Currently, 10 people have been hospitalised, while the rest have been treated on the spot or on an outpatient basis.

According to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Ihor Klymenko, residential, medical, educational, commercial and transport infrastructure in eight districts of the capital was affected. Two of the dead women are from Podilskyi district. Among them were a 68-year-old resident of the capital and a 22-year-old police corporal, a member of the metro police.

Residential buildings, warehouses, cars, office and non-residential buildings were also burning in the city. According to Vitalii Klychko:

• In Shevchenkivskyi district, a fire was recorded on the top floor of a residential building.
• In Darnytskyi, there was a fire in a high-rise building.
• Another fire in a residential building is also in the Shevchenkivskyi district.
• Garages also caught fire there.
• A truck caught fire in Holosiivskyi district.
• Debris fell in Podilskyi district.
• Two people were hospitalised in Solomyanskyi district.

In Podilskyi district, the outpatient clinic of the Primary Healthcare Centre №1 was almost completely destroyed.

Around 400 rescuers and 90 units of SES equipment, including engineering, firefighting and robotic vehicles, are involved in the response to the impact. Pyrotechnics and mountaineering teams are also working.
