20 houses damaged: repair works continue in Mykolaiv to eliminate the consequences of Russian shelling

In Mykolaiv, 20 residential buildings were damaged by Russian attacks on 25 May. In one of them, the top three floors — the third, fourth and fifth — were destroyed at once.
This was reported by the press service of the Mykolaiv City Council.
Utilities are currently actively working at the sites of the crashes: they are repairing windows, plugging damaged openings with OSB boards, and removing glass fragments and debris.
«The State Emergency Service is completing the dismantling of the building's emergency structures. Then the housing and communal services will continue their work,» explained First Deputy Mayor Vitalii Lukov.
"Residents of the affected buildings are advised to seek help and advice from district administrations or the Department of Housing and Communal Services, which will provide explanations on further actions and support.
Earlier it was reported that emergency rescue operations in a five-storey building in Zavodskyi district of Mykolaiv that was hit by a hostile drone had been completed.
As of the morning of 26 May, two people were killed and six others were injured in a Russian kamikaze drone attack on Mykolaiv on the night of 25 May.
The attack on Mykolaiv on 25 May
As you know, on Saturday night, 25 May, the Russian army launched dozens of drones at Mykolaiv. The first shelling in the city was heard around 00:50. The city authorities reported that the city was under attack by kamikaze drones.
A five-storey building in Zavodskyi district of Mykolaiv was hit. People were trapped under the rubble. Rescuers managed to unblock the body of one of the residents at 6am. The victim was a 77-year-old man. In addition, 5 other people were injured, including a teenager. Mykolaiv rescuers managed to pull a girl out of the rubble.
Authorities also reported that the night attack on Mykolaiv damaged infrastructure, office buildings and private homes. Power lines were damaged in different parts of the city. Two floors of an apartment building were destroyed, and the debris hit a nearby multi-storey building.
In addition, one of the kindergartens was damaged by a Russian drone strike. The building's windows were smashed and the roof was damaged.
Law enforcers have already opened a criminal investigation into the nighttime shelling of Mykolaiv on the grounds of war crimes (Article 438(2) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, Vitalii Kim, noted that the attack on 25 May was the most massive in recent years.
Later, rescuers removed the body of a dead woman from the rubble. As of the evening of 25 May, two people were reported dead and five wounded.
