Russia shells Kherson: railway station, locomotive and residential buildings damaged

On Sunday, 18 May, the Russian army attacked Kherson, damaging the railway station building, a locomotive, private houses and cars.

This was reported by the Kherson Regional Military Administration.

«Preliminarily, there were no casualties. However, the enemy «is hunting» the area with drones to strike again», the statement said.

According to «Ukrzaliznytsia», a passenger locomotive was also hit. There were no injuries among the passengers and staff of the station. Buses were arranged to take 66 passengers to Mykolaiv.

«After the alert in the city ended, the railways, in cooperation with the local RMA, arranged buses to transport 66 passengers from Kherson to Mykolaiv. The railways are quickly adding cars to the train already waiting in Mykolaiv to accommodate all the passengers from the Kherson station. All other trains are running according to the schedule», the company said.

As a reminder, over the past 24 hours, Russian troops shelled 29 settlements in the Kherson region. Eight people were injured.
