Massive drone attack on Odesa: there are dead and wounded, the aftermath is being dealt with

On the night of 1 May, Odesa was attacked by Russian drones. As a result, two people were killed and five others were injured. Search services are still unable to locate the elderly couple who lived in the destroyed house.

A series of explosions occurred in the city around midnight. Residential high-rise buildings, private houses, a supermarket, an educational institution, social infrastructure facilities and cars were damaged. Fires broke out in several places, which were quickly extinguished.

According to the head of the Odesa regional military administration, Oleh Kiper, both multi-storey buildings and private houses were damaged. As a result of the strikes, the fire spread to some parts of the city. Rescuers are working at the scene and the aftermath is being eliminated.

An elderly couple lived in the destroyed building on the top floor and are currently out of contact.

Odesa Mayor Hennadii Trukhanov said that one of the schools was slightly damaged, with four windows smashed in the building.

According to the State Emergency Service, at least 15 people were injured in the attack. More than 200 residents were evacuated in the area of the shelling, and rescuers set up an indestructibility point. Psychologists from the State Emergency Service and the National Police are working at the scene.

On 30 April, Russian troops also shelled Mykolaiv region. A private house and a multi-storey building were damaged. Also, in the Mishkovo-Pohoriliove community, warehouses were damaged as a result of shelling.
