He wrote about this on his social media after a telephone conversation with US President Donald Trump.
«We believe that together with America, with President Trump and thanks to American leadership, a lasting peace can be achieved this year,» he wrote.

The phone call lasted 1.5 hours. During the call, Russian President Vladimir Putin supported US President Donald Trump's proposal to temporarily suspend strikes on energy infrastructure for 30 days and gave the appropriate command to the military.
