The attack on Kherson on 20 February, photo: «MOST»On the night of 20 February, the Russian army carried out an air strike on Kherson, hitting a ten-storey building in the Dniprovsky district with a KAB. As a result, two children were injured — 13-year-old twins, a boy and a girl.
They were diagnosed with mine-blast injuries and an acute stress reaction and are currently under medical supervision, said Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration.
«We know about 6 victims, two of whom were rescued by the State Emergency Service from the 8th and 9th floors of the destroyed building», said Prokudin.
According to him, fifteen apartments from the 1st to the 10th floor of one of the entrances were destroyed by the strike. In addition, windows were smashed in 80 apartments.
«Also, around 23:40 on 19 February, the Russian army shelled the central district of Kherson with artillery. A 47-year-old man was wounded in the attack. Doctors diagnosed him with explosive and craniocerebral injuries, concussion and leg injuries,» writes Oleksandr Prokudin.
Later, the head of the Kherson City Military Administration, Roman Mrochko, reported two more victims of the night strike. A 60-year-old man suffered abrasions on his forehead, and a 36-year-old man suffered an acubarotrauma.
According to preliminary data, the mother of the injured children may be under the rubble. Rescuers continue to dismantle the rubble to establish her whereabouts.
