A naval mine washed up on the shores of Odesa region. The found munition was defused by sailors.
This was reported by the press service of the Ukrainian Navy, but they did not specify where the mine was found and detonated.
«The Ukrainian Navy has destroyed another sea mine that washed up on the coast of Odesa region. The discovered munition was defused by controlled detonation at the site», the statement said.
The agency recalled the rules for handling dangerous finds. It is noted that in case of detection of suspicious or explosive items, in no case should you approach, touch or try to move or defuse them yourself.
«If you find such items, please notify the relevant authorities. We also inform you that the ban on staying in uninspected areas of the coast continues to be in force in the region», the agency said.
It should be noted that this is not the first time that naval sailors have destroyed a sea mine that washed up on the coast of Odesa region.
