RMA reports that air defence forces destroyed 9 drones in Mykolaiv region at night

On the night of 22 January, air defence forces and equipment in Mykolaiv region destroyed nine Shahed 131/136 UAVs.

This was reported in the morning report of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration.

The city was under attack by Russian troops from 22:35 to 23:10. The falling wreckage caused six fires in different locations. As of 02:52, all fires were extinguished by rescuers.

A six-storey residential building was damaged. 200 residents were evacuated. The residents have now returned to their apartments. In addition, the blast wave damaged the windows of apartments in eight apartment buildings and several private houses, damaged the windows of a family outpatient clinic and the administrative building of a transport company, and destroyed a car.

The victims included a 74-year-old woman who was hospitalised and a 59-year-old man who was treated on the spot. As of the morning, the woman is in serious condition.

Attack by Shahed drones on Mykolaiv on 21 January

Mykolaiv residents heard the first three explosions at around 10:50 p.m. As it became known later, the Russian army attacked Mykolaiv with seven drones. Damage was reported in different parts of the city as a result of the shelling.

The authorities reported that two people were injured in the shelling.

As of the morning of 22 January, it became known that the shelling had also damaged the utility company «Mykolaivelectrotrans».
