An ammunition exploded at the radio station Army FM in Kyiv: the presenter was injured

On the evening of 19 January, an unknown munition exploded at the radio station Army FM in Kyiv. A radio presenter was injured.

This was reported by Suspilne and the Kyiv police.

An investigative team and explosives experts are already working at the scene. It has been preliminarily established that an army fuse exploded, which was kept in the room as an exhibit. According to representatives of the radio station, this fuze had been at the radio station since 2019.

A woman born in 1999 was injured in the explosion and hospitalised. According to Suspilne, her life is not currently in danger.

Criminal proceedings have been initiated under Article 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — illegal handling of weapons, ammunition or explosives. Law enforcement officers are currently establishing all the circumstances of the incident.

As a reminder, an explosion in a nine-storey building in Pivdennoukrainsk on 19 November injured a person. The State Emergency Service noted that a tourist gas cylinder exploded in the apartment.
