A petition calling on Volodymyr Zelenskyy to review the program for paying Ukrainians 1,000 hryvnias has received the required 25,000 votes.

The document was published on the website of the Office of the President of Ukraine on November 14.

The author of the petition, Roman Stan, emphasizes that the «ePidtrymka» winter program has a number of shortcomings, in particular:

  • unknown sources of its financing;
  • «dissonance» between tax increases and additional costs;
  • lack of addressability of payments.

He calls for money to be paid exclusively to people from vulnerable categories of the population in the event that the president and the Cabinet of Ministers still decide to implement «ePidtrymka».

«The purpose of this program is to support the population in the winter period. However, this is necessary only for a certain list of citizens: pensioners, low-income families, large families, displaced persons, etc. For a household with an average salary, these funds will not be so important,» writes Roman Stan.

We will remind that the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced a new aid program «ePidtrymka». From December 1, a new program should start in Ukraine, according to which every Ukrainian will receive one thousand hryvnias. These funds can be used to pay for goods and services.
