In the Mykolaiv dormitory, the ceiling, which had been considered emergency for 16 years, collapsed

On Thursday, December 14, the ceiling, which had been in a state of emergency for more than 16 years and needed repair, collapsed in the Mykolaiv dormitory at 107/2 3rd Slobidska Street.

The residents of the dormitory turned to the editorial office of NikVesti with a corresponding complaint.

So, according to residents, since 2007 they have been asking the city authorities to repair the roof. However, in response, «we received letters stating that the building does not belong to the communal property of the city».

«The roof fell and thank God that the child who wanted to enter the corridor did not have time, and it all collapsed in front of his eyes,» residents say.

As you know, in February 2016, the Mykolaiv City Council agreed on the decision to transfer the housing fund of the state enterprise Zhytlobud, which is the balance holder of the object, to the municipal property of Mykolaiv. However, the transfer procedure has not yet been completed, as «Zhytlobud is delaying the process of transferring technical documentation.

As reported by PN, the residents of the dormitory assure that the transfer of the building into communal ownership is made impossible by two annexes.

Today, the residents of the dormitory do not know where to turn for help in rebuilding the roof. Therefore, they ask the city authorities to assist in solving the housing problems of the residents of the building.

We remind you that this is not the first such incident in this dormitory. Residents of the family-type dormitory have already complained about the inaction of the managing company Zhytlobud, which does not respond to the problems of the building, namely, the collapsed roof, constantly leaking ceilings and poor living conditions of the residents.
