Almost three thousand people in Odesa region have applied for compensation for housing damaged by Russian attacks. The total amount of assistance paid by the state under the «isRestoration» programme has exceeded 235 million hryvnias.

This was reported by the Odesa Regional State Administration, according to «Suspilne».

As of May this year, 2,985 applications for compensation for damaged homes have been received. Of these, 685 people have already received funds for repairs. It is noted that this is more than 37 million hryvnias.

In addition, 61 applicants received the first payment for major repairs, which is more than 14 million hryvnias. Another 18 applicants received a second payment of almost 2 million hryvnias. The total amount is almost 54 million hryvnias.

Currently, 1737 applications are under consideration by the commissions. At the same time, 340 applications have been denied, and another 144 applications have been temporarily «frozen» — mainly due to the absence of the owners on site, which makes it difficult to check the damage.

Separately, 297 residents of the region have applied for compensation for completely destroyed housing. Of these, 142 have already received housing certificates totalling over 182 million hryvnias, while the rest have been denied.

According to the RMA, housing has been damaged or destroyed in 37 territorial communities of the region since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.

As a reminder, the Odesa regional authorities showed the results of the restoration of a house in Serhiivka, which was destroyed during a Russian missile attack on 1 July 2022.
