Ukraine will receive another batch of military aid worth £450 million (about $589 million). The bulk of the funding — £350 million — is provided by the UK, and the rest will be covered by Norway through the International Fund for Ukraine.
This was reported by the British government.
The new package includes 160 million pounds for the repair and maintenance of equipment that the UK has already transferred to Ukraine. This work will be carried out jointly by British companies and Ukrainian enterprises.
In addition, more than £250 million will be spent on the purchase of modern FPV drones, radars and anti-tank mines. The drones will be purchased from both British and Ukrainian manufacturers. This is part of an initiative known as the «drone coalition».
British Defence Secretary John Healey said that 2025 will be a decisive year, so the allies must provide the Ukrainian military with everything they need to protect themselves.
In total, the UK plans to allocate £4.5 billion for military support to Ukraine in 2025.
Earlier, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer said he was ready to deploy thousands of British soldiers to Ukraine, who could stay there for many years.
